In December 2023, a few months after the sudden death of her husband, Abbye booked an AirBNB by herself before the Christmas holidays. She wanted to be alone. She wanted to revisit the places she'd first loved him. She wanted to wrap her mind around where'd she been and where she'd ended up. She wanted to remember, and she wanted to forget. But more than anything, she wanted to keep going. She wanted to live.
